Meizu 16 Top Features Revealed in Leaked Presentation Slides


Just a while ago, Meizu CEO, Jack Wong threw light on the pricing of the Meizu 16. A Furthermore, some slides from a presentation have leaked to reveal the top features of the upcoming flagship. The slides were first reported by the user Old explosion technology if Google translate is to be believed.

Stereo speakers in tow?

The presence of the in-display fingerprint scanner has been confirmed. The Meizu 16 will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 coupled with at least 6GB RAM. AI Super Camera, new custom symmetric full-screen design, bass-boost to the stereo output and 2nd generation touch engine are some of the details that have leaked. The leaked slides have also thrown a sliver of light on the design of the Meizu 16. It will be running thin at 7.3mm and weigh 152 grams. The 16 Plus, on the other hand, will also be 7.3mm thick but will weigh a tad more at 182 grams.

The screen is another piece of tech Meizu has improved on. It will have a refresh rate of 60Hz and a sampling rate of up to 100Hz which is quite close to 120Hz of the iPhone X. The screen will have an 18:9 aspect ratio leading to a screen-to-body ratio of 91.18%. It will come equipped with double R-angle external screen cutting technology and Samsung’s COF (Chip-on-Flex) technology. Top notch audio and clearer in-call experience are in tow.

Moving on to the camera, the Meizu 16 will sport a Sony IMX380 sensor with a 1.55μm pixel size, 1.2-inch large photosensitive element, support for 4-axis optical stabilization, laser autofocus, PDAF and 3x lossless zoom. The front will sport a 20MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

These are some great specifications and if previous reports are to be believed, the Meizu 16 will be priced quite low as compared to other flagships. It will be exciting to see what Meizu has in store on the 26th of August.
