GPU Turbo Update Now Available For Huawei MediaPad M5


It’s been weeks since Huawei Honor sub-brand announced the GPU Turbo which according to the company improves graphics efficiency by up to 60% and reduce system-on-chip energy usage by 30%. The software is gradually been rolled out to a number of its smartphones and now it is the turn of Huawei’s latest tablet Mediapad M5. This afternoon, Huawei took to its official Weibo handle to announce that the MediaPad M5 series will start getting the GPU Turbo update from today.

Huawei MediaPad M5 series is the first tablet to support Huawei GPU Turbo. To get this update, simply go to Settings → System → System Update. This update will give you a better gaming time while preserving your battery. Huawei’s MediaPad M5 series was released in April 2018. It comes in three versions, the 8.4-inch, 10.8-inch and MediaPad M5 Pro. All these devices are powered by Huawei’s Kirin 960 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of internal memory.

Most recently, Honor 10 GT, the mid-range Honor 9i as well as the Honor Play already  got “GPU Turbo” out of the box, while the Honor 10, Honor View 10, Honor 9 Lite, Honor 7X, Honor 8 Pro, and Honor 9 will all get the software update between now and September.
