The LG V40 ThinQ is expected to be unveiled at IFA 2018 like its predecessor was unveiled at the IFA 2017. But a report from Korean publication. ETNews has affirmed that LG might skip the IFA 2018 altogether and announce the V40 ThinQ later in September.
Gizchina News of the week
Let’s refer to the LG V40 ThinQ as V40 for the sake of this article and because LG’s naming convention beats me. So far we have reports that hint at the presence of five cameras (two on the front and three on the back). The triple camera setup is expected to be comprised of 20MP, 16MP, and 13MP sensors, two out of which will be a super wide-angle and a telephoto lens. The overall design of the phone will borrow heavily from the LG G7 ThinQ, as far as the notch is concerned. The phone will apparently come equipped with 3D facial scanning aka facial recognition using structured light.
The V series by LG is the premium tier of smartphones by the Korean manufacturer. The V series is usually loaded with top of the line specs. The V40 will be no difference. There aren’t a lot of reports to confirm the said specifications and launch date, so I suggest you take this one with a pinch of salt.
