HTC U12 Life Coming Soon?

HTC U11 Life

Folks at Android Authority managed to get a scoop of the marketing materials for the alleged HTC U12 Life. Codenamed “Imagine Life”, the phone will likely be a toned down variant of the U12+. There is a reason to believe this speculation since the U12+ is codenamed “Imagine”.

Gizchina News of the week

The alleged HTC U12 Life will feature a 6-inch, FHD+(2160 x 1080p) resolution. The aspect ratio is not specified. It will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset under the hood coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage which is expandable. The back will sport a dual camera setup comprising of 16MP and 5MP sensors while the front will sport a 13MP sensor.  The rear cameras will come with PDAF and support for 4K video. It will be powered by a 3600mAh battery. The phone will feature a fingerprint scanner, dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC. It will likely run Android 8.1 Oreo. This phone might also be a part of the Android One program like its predecessor.

Like the U11 Life, the U12 Life will also be an attempt by HTC to make a mark on the mid-range market. They might be able to accomplish that if they get the price right. The specs on this one are not the greatest, but they are not the worst either. The pricing of the HTC U12 Life should at least be $349 which is where the U11 Life started from. The date of launch is not yet revealed, but expect more news in the coming days.
