The Samsung Galaxy Tab A2 XL aka 10.5-inch tablet had previously appeared in hands-on images not long ago. There were not a lot of reports surrounding it but there were no solid specifications to be found. Folks at SamMobile have managed to get their hands on the full specifications of the upcoming tablet.

The Galaxy Tab A2 XL will feature a 10.5-inch LCD display with a 1920 x 1200p resolution. We know from the hands-on images that the bezels won’t be as thin as the Galaxy Tab S4’s. It will house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core chipset coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The tab will have a microSD card slot for expanding the memory. In the camera department, the Tab A2 will sport an 8MP snapper on the back and a 5MP snapper on the front. Like the Tab S4, it will also sport a 7300mAh battery with support for fast charging. Dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 is part of the package. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A2 XL will run Android 8.1 Oreo with the company’s bloated UI on top.
While the Tab A2 will likely not feature a fingerprint scanner or iris recognition. Facial recognition based on the front camera and the usual security options will be a part of the package. There has been no word form Samsung regarding the launch of this tablet. We recently reported that the Tab S4 will be unveiled on the 1st of August. The Tab A2 XL might be launched then or maybe with the Galaxy Note 9 on 9th August.
