Bluboo D6

Bluboo’s D just added a new device to its series – the Bluboo D6. As always, the Bluboo D series focuses on providing budget-friendly models with the most popular features of the current market. So, the Bluboo D6 is no exception, adopting a 18:9 aspect ratio on a 5.5” BOE screen and, thanks to the reduction of the bezels, a claimed screen-to-body ratio that reach up to 86%. What’s more, albeit a $59.99 budget phone, it runs the recent Android 8.1 OS and supports face unlock function. The launch promotion starts on August 9th and will last till August 31st at the price of $59.99, $10 off the original price.

Before heading there though, you might want to check out what the phone looks like in its introduction video:

From what we can see in the video, the BLUBOO D6 appears to have a quite elegant outlook and slim body. With the help of the new 18:9 aspect ratio, the display does look bigger/taller than traditional 5.5-inch phone, providing a better viewing experience for most cases. What’s more, the BOE display with its 425cd/m² should be bright enough for outdoor use and bring vivid colors as well.

As a entry-level phone, the 8.0MP+5.0MP rear dual cameras and 5.0MP front camera are also a good combo, thanks to the optimized camera software of Android 8.1 and the OV sensor we should see better results as well. The BLUBOO D6 then supports face unlock and fingerprint unlock, which is rare to see on a $59.99 phone.

As far as the OS goes, although Android 9 has been recently launched, the Oreo is still the most mature Android OS on the market, not by chance it’s what the BLUBOO D6 runs on with its 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage for a good and smooth user experience.

As a whole, the BLUBOO D6 might be considered a good entry-level phone with a nice design and sporting the trendy 18:9 aspect ratio for those who want it, also the camera and bloatware-free OS could be a nice plus. Well, at least for $59.99, which is the price you’ll find this budget killer for.
