Its cold IFA appearance notwithstanding, a new report reaching us says the company is preparing two new smartphones for the mass market. Dubbed the Galaxy J4 Prime and Galaxy J6 Prime, both devices are expected to come with a slight upgrade compared to the Galaxy J4 and J6 respectively.

Support pages for both devices have been published locally in Vietnam hinting at a near release date. Although the listings haven’t revealed anything significant, however, there are reports that say the difference between the Galaxy J4, J6, and their upcoming prime variant will be felt only in the chipset employed and the Android OS onboard.

Gizchina News of the week

Specifically, the report says the Galaxy J4 prime and J6 prime will ditch Samsung’ Exynos 7570 in favor of a Snapdragon Chipset, while it could either be running Android 8.1 OS or the latest Android Pie OS.

While Samsung has on recent not scheduled any launch event, the support pages of the devices are enough indications to suggest they will soon be launched, and that should happen first later this fall in Vietnam and the Netherlands.
