Honor’s 8X and 8X Max are officially due for release on September 5th as we know it. Ahead of release, we’ve been treated to a number of marquee features as well as images of the Honor 8X Max teased by the brand today. Also, the Honor 8X Max was also spotted on Vmall today with the listing revealing a lot of the specs of the device. Previously, we’ve been made aware that the Max version will be a gargantuan 7.12-inch device and the 8x will be a standard 6.5-inch model. Let’s take a look at what more we know today.

After being listed on JD.com, the Honor 8X Max listing on Vmall says the display is 7.12-inches with a resolution of Full HD+ 2244×1080p and 90 percent screen to body ratio. It also describes Dobly Atmos and dual speakers as one of the key features for 360-degree surround sound. The battery was shown to be fast charge-capable with 9V 2A being the ceiling for the phone. Three colours were shown on the website – Black, Blue and Red colors and the battery is 5,000mAh.
There’s no description of the processor although 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is mentioned there. Previously it has been rumoured that the handset will surprisingly feature a Snapdragon 660 SoC.
On the other hand, the Honor 8X has been certified at TENAA with model number JSN-AL00a as described by FoneArena. It is reported to feature a smaller 6.5-inch screen and a battery of 3,650mAh capacity. Previous speculation has suggested a Kirin 710 on board the upcoming device.
