There has been a lot of excitement over the ZTE Grand S that some of you may have forgotten all about the ZTE Nubia Z5! The first quad-core 5-inch phone from ZTE will go on sale very soon and as proof here are some unboxing photos.
Nubia is ZTE’s new flagship brand for China, and the Z5 is the first Nubia phone to launch (it is rumoured it will be joined with a 6.3-inch Z7 in the future).
The Z5 features a very similar specification to the ZTE Grand S, and shares the same 5-inch 1080 display, 13 mega-pixel rear camera, quad-core Qualcomm CPU and 2GB RAM, but it is all wrapped up in a Nubia style body.
The Nubia Z5 is currently only available through the official Nubia website, so the phone is packaged in 2 boxes to ensure it arrives with customers in perfect condition.
The phone itself comes in a separate white Nubia box, which the accessories including headphones, charger and USB cable come in a separate container.
Gizchina News of the week
From the front the phone looks like it all screen with very little in the way of a bezel, and just enough root at the top for the speaker and front camera to be placed.
This phone is an engineering model so the rear doesn’t feature any Nubia branding, but production models will get a Nubia logo.
The Z5 is slightly thicker than the ZTE Grand S at 7.6mm but it still looks impressively thin in these photos.
A micro SIM is used which needs to be accessed with the included pin.
Overall the Nubia Z5 seems to be a very well made and quality device, we wonder how the Grand S compares to the Flagship Nubia, and more so how rival phones from Oppo and Huawei stack up.
I am trully proud of you guys with the expansion of new writers. Keep the good writing coming
Wow.
Which “quad-core Qualcomm CPU” is this? Snapdragon 800?
