Samsung unveils AKG N700NC, Y500 and Y100

Samsung Electronics have just unveiled the latest bunch of wireless headphones from the AKG stable. The AKG N700NC, Y500 and Y100 allow users to experience the balanced, studio quality sound that AKG are known for. Each pair of wireless headphones caters towards different types of users, so there’s something for everyone.

The AKG N700NC are a pair of over-the-ear headphones that come with adaptive Noise Cancelling. What this essentially means is that users can control the amount of noise gets into them. It’s useful if you’re with people or in a public place since you can hear your surroundings. It also means you can completely shut out noise when you want to. These last up to 20 hours on one charge.

The AKG Y500 on the other hand is a pair of on-ear headphones. These come with Multi-point Connectivity which is something like Apple’s pause and play. It automatically pauses content when the headphones are taken off, and resumes play automatically when placed back over the ears.

The Y100 is different from both its brethren in that it’s a pair of wireless earbuds. The Y100 comes with Ambient Aware, which is like a less robust version of noise canceling. It detects ambient noise and attempts to block it out, allowing you to enjoy your music.

The N700NC’s price starts at $349.95, which isn’t too far out of the ordinary for AKG headphones. The Y500 is more affordable but not exactly pocket friendly at $149.95. Finally, the Y100 is the most budget friendly option at $99.95. AKG is well known for their audio products and headphones, and we expect these to stand up to the AKG pedigree.
