The Nokia-branded products have been always known for their innovations. Many of them have been considered to be pioneers in this or that aspect. Though currently, Nokia belongs to HMD, nothing has been changed. It continues bringing the technology we need and we want to see on the Nokia handsets. Of course, recently, this brand was more modest, but it’s going to change in the nearest future. The company has felt the ground under its feet. So it can pay some attention to innovations as well. One of such models is going to be the so-called Nokia 9. Its biggest selling point is going to be the penta-camera design. However, we have heard bad news concerning it.

Today, PhoneArena reported the much-awaited Nokia 9’s launch will be postponed until the first half of 2019. Previously, it’s been said the handset will debut in the second half of this year. But now we learn the Nokia 9 will be uncovered at the MWC2019 only.

Gizchina News of the week

As the source claims, the Nokia 9 with 5 cameras has been in works for a few months. But HMD believes that the device has not yet reached its ideal state. Agree this is a serious reason to postpone its launch.

According to the previous leaks and rumors, the Nokia 9 will sport a penta-camera design. The lenses are arranged in a hexagonal shape. This technology was developed in conjunction with the American startup, namely Light. The camera uses five sets of light-sensitive components and brings three times or even five times zoom.

In addition, the Nokia 9 will also be equipped with an OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, and will support screen fingerprint recognition.

However, if you remember, this is not the first phone postponed by HMD. The Nokia 8 Sirocco was set to launch in the second half of 2017, but it was officially unleashed at MWC2018.

If this is going to be postponed until next year, this better get a Snapdragon 855 or it will end up like the Nokia 8 Sirocco.
