We have to wait a few days for the official presentation of the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. The new flagship with brand new processor has been tested on Geekbench today and the results are impressive. The new Huawei leaves every Android phone far behind.
The Huawei Mate 20, LYA-L29 got a 3390 for single core and 10318 for multi core. For comparison, the OnePlus 6 scores is 2370/8720. The new Kirin 980 processor from the Chinese brand is also much faster than its predecessor. The Huawei P20 Pro scores around 1900/6700. The upcoming Huawei Mate 20 will be the fastest Android smartphone of the moment. With that, Huawei is just one step ahead of the competition. We expect that Qualcomm will only catch up with the next generation of Snapdragon 800 processors next year.

LYA-L29 is the model name of one of the Huawei Mate 20 models with the new Kirin 980 processor, presumably the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The device is assisted by 6 GB of memory and it runs Android 9 Pie. This monster score puts the device next to the iPhone X last year. In speed, the device is also faster than the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
What can you expect on October 16?
October 16 is the day, Huawei will presents the new Huawei Mate 20 models. We expect three devices again; the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro and Porsche Design Edition. The basic Mate gets a large LCD screen and a triple main camera. The specifications are slightly lighter than the camera specs on the Mate 20 Pro. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a large OLED display and also a triple main cameras, the camera specifications are similar to those of the Huawei P20 Pro. The specifications of the Porsche Design is expected to be almost identical to those of the Mate 20 Pro.
All three Huawei Mate 20 models are powered by the new Kirin 980 processor. There is 6 GB to 8 GB of RAM available and you can count on 128 GB or more storage.
