Three new Elephone models with a detailed look + video

Elephone

The Elephone brand is really trying to shock and awe the whole public at the Global Sources Electronics exhibition in Hong Kong, because their upcoming lineup is quite futuristic and packed with very interesting features. And the revealed specs of these new phones are looking quite good too, today we got a closer look at the main three of them plus a short video of the pop-up camera module on the Elephone U2 Pro.

Elephone U2 Pro will be without a question the flagship model and looks like they are even pondering equipping it with real power specs. In the presentation slide they have it running the Snapdragon 845, but the press release is mentioning a decision between that one and Helio P60. Well we all know which one would suit it better. Moving on, the phone should have 6,42-inch FHD+ double curved AMOLED screen (screen-to-body ratio up to 92,8%), 16MP selfie cam with extra 3D structured light sensor for Face ID, rear 12MP+5MP combo, all of the of course on the pop-up module, NFC chip, 3600 mAh battery with wireless charging and USB Type-C port. Very interesting indeed.

Gizchina News of the week

The standard version will be the Elephone U2 and according to the revealed specs this one should be packing the Helio P60 processor for sure, 6,26-inch FHD+ screen, front 16MP+2MP selfie cam on the pop-up module and vertically oriented three camera sensors 12MP+5MP+2MP on the glass back. At a first glance more midrange setup, but could be the sleeper price/performance pic, we shall see.

And last, but not least the “for sure” midrange model Elephone PX with a similar pop-up camera module for the selfie duo of 16MP+2MP sensors as the U2. This time powered by MT6761/MT6762 processor, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB of internal storage, 6,34-inch HD+ 18:9 screen and rear 16MP+2MP cameras.

That’s all for now from the Elephone Hong Kong exhibition news, but their upcoming models are looking really good and we will be closely monitoring the progress with the actual release and of course the pricing.
