5G Supported Version of the Oppo R15 Could Be Introduced Soon

It’s been about a year since Oppo has started testing 5G on it’s smartphones. The company global vice president and head of Chinese business division Brain Shen Today announced that Oppo’s 5G technology has achieved success in compliance testing. This success Confirms that its smartphones that will be released next year will support 5G technology.

As a result of the tests carried out on a customized version of the Oppo R15, the company succeeded to reach 5G Internet speed, with a fully integrated 5G system board, RF, RFFE, and antenna. The test was done in Oppo’s communication protocol laboratory where it teased the X50 modem from Snapdragon back in August.

The reason why Oppo invests so much in 5G technology is to be the first brand to launch the world’s first 5G technology smartphone. Shen said the company is aiming “to become the first brand to release real commercial 5G smartphones”.

Earlier this year, Oppo had realized the world’s first 5G technology video call with 3D image transmission. At the same time, Oppo had successfully used the 3D display technology it developed for the first time. These achievements are very valuable for the company and the tech industry. We look forward to the fact that the company has a smartphone with 5G technology next year.
