Honor watch magic with up to 7 days battery life announced, starts at $128

After weeks of consistent leaks, rumours and even official teasers, Huawei’s Honor sub-brand at an event today in China finally unwrapped the Honor Magic 2 – the world’s first phone with six cameras in total, and one of the most recent few slider camera phones. While that remains the most interesting part of today’s event, the Chinse firms also followed the lead of its parent brand’s Huawei GT watch, with the launch of the Honor watch magic.

The Honor watch magic appears to be a completely stripped down variant of the Huawei watch GT. It is made out of 316L stainless steel and plastic shell compatible with a variety of QuickFit straps. The watch measures 42.8 × 42.8 × 9.8mm, weighs about 32.5 grams, and is rated water resistant up to 5ATM.

Much like the Huawei watch GT, the Honor watch magic can monitor your heart rate continuously for 24 hours, supports sleep detection via their Trusleep 2.0 feature and has swim detection. It can monitor your pressure in real-time and provide you with breath training when exercising. It supports GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou. It has a barometer, compass, and NFC.

Flaunting a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with 390 x 390 pixels resolution with a round dial, Honor watch magic has the face of a traditional watch complete with a heart rate monitor, advanced positioning (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo) and Huawei Pay beneath the display. It runs on Huawei’s own Lite OS and is powered by the ARM M4 chipset coupled with 16MB of RAM and 128MB of storage. Powered by a 178mAh battery with a claim of up to 7 days, the Honor watch magic should work with any android phone running Android 4.4 and above, as well as all ios devices running iOS 9 or above.

The Honor watch magic goes on sale later this night in Lava Black or Moonlight silver. You can get the device from Vmall at  899 Yuan/ $128 and 999 Yuan/ $143for the Honor Watch Magic Sports and Fashion variant respectively.
