Honor, Huawei’s subsidiary smartphone brand a few hours ago announced the Honor Magic as the world first smartphone with a total of six cameras. The device appears to be aimed squarely at Xiaomi’s latest Mi Mix 3, as it features the same 6.39-inch 2,340 x 1,080 AMOLED screen while switching the widely used Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor for Huawei’s homegrown HiSilicon Kirin 980 chip.
Though the device won’t go on open sale until November 6, you can already pre-order the device for that that would want it shipped to them earlier. The brand earlier this morning announced that it sold its recently launched device within five minutes of the first pre-sale period. While no exact figure was given for the number of pre-registered users, the brand did announced the device would again be available for pre-orders on November 1 beginning from 10:08.

The price of Honor magic 2 in China starts at 3799 yuan, 4299 yuan and 4799 yuan for the 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB models in that order, while the top end model with 8GB+512GB RAM and storage combo is priced at 5799 yuan, but wont go on sale until December.
One of the major highlights of the Honor Magic 2 is its 6 cameras, a sliding mechanism and a fingerprint scanner under the display. The Honor Magic 2 brings a whopping 6 cameras, of which 3 at the front and 3 at the back. The rear ones include a main 16MP shooter, a 24MP B&W monochrome secondary and a third wide angle lens of 16MP resolution. This means there’s no telephoto lens on the phone, in its place we find a probably less useful B&W sensor, but we can assume the Magic 2 would have become too much of a Huawei Mate 20 killer if it had the same camera combo.
