Recently on Tuesday, Apple claimed that its new iPad Pro with A12X chip was faster than the majority of portable PCs. Now Geekbench, a cross-platform processor benchmark, has just posted their iPad Pro processor test and the results are astonishing.
The new Apple iPad Pro scores around 5030 in single core and around 18000 in multi core. Surprisingly, the single core results are almost very similar to that of 2.6 GHz i7 2018 MacBook Pro. You can choose to order a 13 inch MacBook Pro with i7 processor along with 256 GB SSD for about $2099 or you can buy this new bezel-less beast which is comparatively $1000 cheaper. On top of that, the new iPad Pro comes with a 512 GB of storage and it costs around $1349 almost half of that of MacBook Pro (512GB) which comes at $2799.

Also, remarkably the six core i7 maybe faster in multi-core tests but the 8 core iPad Pro is very close to top spot. Furthermore, the new tablet is 30% faster than its former iterations in single core and astonishingly double times faster in multi-core which is about 18217.
Coming to the GPU performances, as per Geekbench the Metal Compute score increases by 40% every year and this iPad Pro could easily top 40,000 on the Compute benchmark
Additionally, the report also proves that the new iPad Pro comes with a 6GB of RAM on a few variants. The one tested here – iPad 8,8 has 5650MB of memory and iPad 8,3 has 3749MB. This is happening for the very first time that an iOS device will vary on the basis of storage configuration. The new iPad will come in 64GB, 256 GB and 512 GB SKUs and it will appear in 11-inch and as well as 13-inch models(4GB RAM). However, the 1TB variant of iPad will consist 6GB of RAM.
The new iPad Pro variants can be booked from now onwards on Apple’s official website and the first orders will start kicking in from 7 November onwards.
