Nokia 8.1 coming to India by the end of this month, says report

HMD Global could be introducing its new phone Nokia 8.1 which is considered a global variant of Nokia X7 outside of China soon. Previously the new Nokia phone was spotted on GeekBench and recently it was sighted on Google’s ARcore list but then taken down shortly. However, there is no official information yet regarding the smartphone release but as per some retail sources, it is suggested that the phone could be landing in India very shortly, said an exclusive 91mobiles report.

The sources hints that the Nokia phone could be landing by the end of the current month(i.e. November). The Nokia 8.1 could cost around Rs 23,999 although Nokia is yet to make any official announcement of the phone’s availabilty.

Jumping to the specifications, according to Geekbench Nokia 8.1 will be running on Snapdragon 710 and will be backed by Android Oreo. Also the phone is expected to come in 6.18 inch with FHD+ screen display and will be manufactured in two variants, the base model will carry 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt memory and the other will likely come in 4GB RAM. Speaking of its camera, the phone will sport a dual rear camera of 13MP +12MP and on the front it carries a 20MP selfie shooter.

The Nokia 8.1 will be powered by a decent 3,500mAh battery assisted by an 18W fast charging option and will consist a rear mounted fingerprint sensor for the security of the device. Lastly, the connectivity options that would be featuring in the phone are Wi-Fi, 3.5mm earphone jack, Bluetooth, GPS with GLONASS, 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM slots and USB Type-C,.
