Google released last night a milestone on its project Treble, which allows for reminder a greater separation between the base of Android and the editable part by OEM. With the promise of an acceleration of the pace of updates which is a regular problem of the platform.
According to Google, any device launched with Android 9.0 Pie is fully compatible with Treble and must therefore enjoy a higher rate of updates.
In addition, the search giant expects that at the end of the year there will be more devices running Android 9.0 as compared to the number of devices that were running Android Oreo at the end of last year.
Gizchina News of the week
The Generic System Image (GSI) is built from the latest available AOSP source code, including the latest bug fixes contributed by OEMs. Device manufacturers already use GSI to validate the implementation of the vendor interface on their devices.
With GSI, you can test your apps on a pure AOSP (Android Open Source Project) version of the latest Android dessert, including the latest features and behavior changes, on any Treble-compliant device thatâs unlocked for flashing. Google says that it is continuing to work on making GSI even more accessible and useful for app developers.
Another joke, treble si good, but manufacturers give a shit about that thing.
