Chinese phone maker Vivo does apparently see a huge opportunity of growth in India as reports from New Delhi confirm the company is really close to add a second manufacturing facility in the country.
Vivo does indeed already have a facility in India in the Yamuna Expressway region in Uttar Pradesh which enlists over 5000 workers that can produce around 2 million devices per month.
The new facility will live in the same area and will add 169-acre of land to the already existing 50-acre owned by the company for a cost of Rs. 4000 crore ($560 million). This will allow vivo to run another plant, which will create 5000 more jobs, with the goal of producing 50 million units per year.
Of course, the news was well received by local Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath, he appreciated Vivo’s initiative and congratulated the company for it.

On their part, Vivo also confirmed the new facility will contribute to the area’s growth, by increasing wages, skill development and the overall socio-economic status.
