Honor has recently presented its Watch Magic smartwatch, and now, a new Honor watch is on the horizon, as evidenced by the Bluetooth SIG certification.

Unfortunately, the public document does not offer many details about the hardware of the mysterious device, which will be carried by model number “ELF-G10”. However, it refers to it as a “smart watch” and not a “wearable” like the Honor Band 4.

Another interesting information about the watch is that it will apparently be based on a MediaTek chip. Although it is not unheard of, it is a much less common chip option compared to Qualcomm chips, which currently account for most of the market.

Huawei and Honor has been experimenting lately both hardware and software of their latest wearables. The Watch GT, for example, uses a dual processor, one for high-performance tasks and the othder for other tasks.

In terms of software, the two companies now have their own LiteOS operating system for smart watches. Maybe Honor wants to further optimize the battery using another chip in this new wearable.

Finally, Honor Smartwatch supports the Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity with low energy standards. That’s all the info shared on the public document about this device. Let’s be patient and see how Honor reacts with this new smartwatch!

It is worth to mention that the Honor Watch Magic has a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with 390 x 390 pixels resolution with a round dial, it has the face of a traditional watch complete with a heart rate monitor, advanced positioning (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo) and Huawei Pay beneath the display. It runs on Huawei’s own Lite OS and is powered by the ARM M4 chipset coupled with 16MB of RAM and 128MB of storage. Powered by a 178mAh battery with a claim of up to 7 days, the Honor watch magic should work with any android phone running Android 4.4 and above, as well as all ios devices running iOS 9 or above.
