On October 31, at the Honor Magic 2 launch conference, the manufacturer also released the Honor Waterplay 8 tablet. It is not only equipped with high-quality dual-speaker and dual Smart PA amplifier chips but also has an IP67 waterproof rating. Thus, it can be immersed in water with a depth of up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.

However, when it was out, only the 64GB Wi-Fi version was available for purchase. Today, the company has added the 64GB LTE version as well as the 128GB Wi-Fi version. The appointment has been already opened and they will officially go on sale on December 25. From December 25 to January 1, during the first sale period, the original price of 1699 yuan ($246) will be reduced by 200 yuan ($29).

The Honor Waterplay 8 sports a simple and stylish appearance. It is available in two colors of silver moon and champagne gold. The body measurements are 209.1×119.6×8.0 mm and the weight is 310 grams. The Honor Waterplay 8, as the name suggests, is equipped with an 8.0-inch display with a 1920×1200 resolution. The Home button supports fingerprint recognition and multi-function system control.

The metal body uses a large 3D arc design. On the back, it carries a dual-camera, of which the main lens has a 13MP resolution, while the secondary lens has a resolution of 2MP. The camera supports PDAF fast phase focusing technology.

The bottom of the fuselage is designed with independent speakers, and along with the top speakers, it provides a dual stereo high-quality audio performance. With the Histen 5.0 sound field expansion technology and Harman Kardon sound certification, the users can bring a detailed stereo surround experience.

In terms of configuration, the Honor Waterplay 8 is equipped with a Kirin 659 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of flash storage, and supports GPU Turbo. The battery capacity is 5100mAh, which supports 9V/2A fast charge.

    comparing this to xiaomi mi pad 4 is a joke. this kirin 659 is comparable to snapdragon625. only kirin 710 can match snapdragon660.
