Remember the Vivo Nex Dual display announced a few weeks back? That version is powered by the SD 845 SoC, comes at a steep price and so may not be so affordable by all. Now, a new certification gives us a glimmer of hope that a slightly speced down variant of the same device is incoming.
First reported by a Weibo user, two variants of the VIVO NEX Dual bearing the V1820A and Vivo V1820T model numbers have just cleared TENAA. Recall that the VIVO NEX Dual display arrived with the V1821A and V1821T model numbers, so it is safe to assume the newly certified devices are variants of the VIVO NEX Dual display that is meant to arrive at a more affordable option.

Digging into the details, the new model is expected to come fitted with the same display as the standard VIVO NEX Dual display bearing a 5.49-inch rear OLED screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution and a 6.39 front AMOLED screen with a 1080 x 2340 resolution. As a more affordable variant, the device will ditch the SDM 845 SoC for a 2.2GHz octa-core chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB non-expandable storage. The SoC is suspected to be the same SoC that powered the VIVO NEX A – the Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform.
The device when launched will also drop the 12MP + 2MP + TOF triple camera setup for a less capable setup with a 12MP + 13MP + 2MP triple camera. It will retain the in-display fingerprint sensor as well as Android 9.0 Pie.
Images of the device are yet to be seen on TENAA’s database, however, information available there suggests it will launch only gold color option.
