Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 takes the Geekbench test with SD 660

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is all set to unveil its first independent smartphone on January 8, and while the company remains mute on the identity of the device that could end up as the first independent Redmi phone, a new Geekbench listing has surfaced suggesting it could be the Redmi Note 7.

First reported by Mysmartprice, the Redmi Note 7 has now appeared on the popular Geekbench database revealing the usual details. According to the Geekbench listing, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 phone is tipped to come with the same SoC found in the Mi A2 – the Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM. No clue on what the storage size could be, but it is tipped to arrive running Android Pie out of the box, suggesting it could be the second Xiaomi phone to get the latest OS out of the box.

Other than the single and multi-core scores of 1462 and 4556 no other information of  the Redmi Note 7 has been revealed by the listing. However, the presence of the Snapdragon 660 chipset is an indication that the device could be the direct upgrade over the Redmi Note 6 Pro with its Snapdragon 636.

We will get to know more about the device in a few days time when it is tipped to go official, as of now, it remains to be known if  the Redmi Note 7 will come fitted with the much talked about 48MP camera, or just may be a more capable Redmi Note 7 pro is in the making too.
