However, it seems the company is on to something even more interesting with a new leak last week giving us a glimpse of a new smartphone literally called “Waterdrop”. Well, this might not be the official marketing name but it seems the handset could be launching as early as next week. A new mysterious teaser from the company’s official handle on Weibo has just been shared online today. It’s being speculated that “Waterdrop” could be the Vivo Apex 2.

As per Chinese media sources, the internal code of Vivo Apex 2 is “waterdrop”. The model number for the same device is EKI1831 as revealed by email info in the Vivo community forums, says IT Home. Also, if you see the teaser, it clearly shows a waterdrop in the centre of the screen with Vivo giving a message in text – “What is the future mobile phone? Come see 1.24.
Now, the only leak about the Vivo Apex or Waterdrop was last week and it only revealed one of the edges of the handset. Besides that, nothing else is known about the mysterious smartphone and what more surprises Vivo has in store for us.
