Lei Jun laments low mention of Redmi Note 7’s 18-months warranty in feedbacks


Xiaomi founder and CEO of Xiaomi Technology, Lei Jun, said that he has received a lot of feedback for the recently released Redmi Note 7 but lamented that the mention of the 18 months warranty is less than he expected. The Redmi Note 7 which is also called “Little King Kong” comes with an 18-month long warranty and it is the first smartphone in the industry to use such a warranty. Lei Jun said that the company invested a whole lot of money to make that possible.

According to the official introduction, Redmi Note 7 adopts the same quality standards as Xiaomi’s flagship mobile phone. In addition, Redmi Note 7 uses Corning’s fifth-generation Gorilla Glass which has a four-fold increase in drop resistance, while providing innovative protection for the most fragile fuselage corners. Lei Jun also said that the fifth-generation Gorilla Glass used by Redmi Note 7 is a product that many smartphones within its price range are reluctant to use. At present, the Redmi Rice Note 7 has gone on sale and the next round of sale will be at 10:00 on January 29, starting at 999 yuan ($148).
