Earlier today, Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, officially confirmed that its upcoming flagship, Xiaomi Mi 9 will be released on February 20th. According to the official introduction, the internal codename of Xiaomi Mi 9 internal code name “Battle Angel”. It adopted this name internally because during the development of this smartphone, Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, requested for just two things – beauty and strength. The company believes that this is the most beautiful and strongest flagship smartphone in its history. Xiaomi also invited Wang Yuan to endorse the Xiaomi Mi 9. Wang Yuan is a UNICEF ambassador and was recently named in the Time magazine as one of the world’s most influential teenagers. After Xiaomi introduced the Wan Yuan special edition protective case, netizens fell in love with its design almost immediately. The Xiaomi Mi 9 special edition protective case comes with a calm mint green colour and there s a tough strap on the rear.
From the official announcement poster, Xiaomi Mi 9 will use triple camera setup on the rear and they are arranged vertically with the flash beneath them. The topmost camera is circled with green which indicates that this sensor is much different from the others. In addition, there is no fingerprint identification module on the back of the Xiaomi Mi 9, which shows that it obviously supports an on-screen fingerprint sensor.
