Chinese phone maker VIVO has today expanded its series of smartphones with the introduction of the new U-series of VIVO phones. Welcome the VIVO U1 – VIVOs latest entry-level smartphone and the first in the U-series. The device is just the Indian version of the VIVO Y95 that currently sells in the Philippines, but with more storage options to choose from.
The vivo U1 has a familiar design featuring a vertically stacked dual camera set up at the back, a rear fingerprint sensor coupled with faceWake, and a virtually bezel-free display with a waterdrop-shaped notch. Its major selling point is the 4030mAh battery and its IP58 protection feature. The device parades a 6.22-inch HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) FullView display with 2.5D curved glass, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor coupled with 3GB RAM +32GB storage and 3/4GB of RAM +64GB of storage under its hood, with the option for expansion using MicroSD card.

In the optics department, the VIVO U1 comes fitted with a dual rear camera setup comprising of a 13-megapixel and a 2-megapixel sensor as well as an 8-megapixel selfie camera with Panorama, beauty, AR shoot, and more.
The VIVO U1 runs on FunTouch 4.5 OS, based on Android Oreo, and supports dual 4G VoLTE support, and Bluetooth 5.0. The device is available in Starry Night Black, Aurora Blue, and Aurora Red color options with gradients finish having different shades of purple/blue on the bottom side of the panel. The VIVO U1 will officially go on sale from February 26th via Vivo’s online store at CNY799/$117 for the 3GB/32GB, CNY999/$147 for the 3/64 GB variant, and CNY1,199/$180 for the 4/64 GB variants.
