Vivo X1s caught on camera ahead of next month’s launch

The Vivo X1s is scheduled for launch on April 10, but as always someone with access to the phone and a camera has leaked the first real photo of the phone which runs Android 4.2.

The original Vivo X1 was quite a different phone to those we normally see from Chinese phone makers. Rather than trying to build a low-cost high specification device with under cut the competition, Vivo set out to building the best quality phone they could.

Gizchina News of the week

The result was a phone which measures just 6.55mm with dual-core MT6577 processor, 720p display, and DAC audio thanks to the on-board Cirus Logic chip solutions. After a few months on the market Vivo have decided to update the X1 to the X1s and have added a few new features.

A quad-core MT6589 processor runs the updated phone, there is now dual-sim support and Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean comes as standard. It’s a great looking phone and it’s very well made too, but at 2998 Yuan we can’t imagine many customers lining up to buy one!
