After the folding screen Mate X showed off at MWC, the company’s next most important mobile lineup to hit the market will be the Huawei P30 series.
The smartphone has already been seen online for a while now in various leaked images, but some of them seem to have risen some questions in the last days. For example, some users have been asking why the top edge looked so flat and with no curves, which is what we’ve been accustomed to see in the past years.
Well, renown leaker Roland Quandt answered the question and confirmed that what we’ve been looking at is the actual phone. The Huawei P30 will indeed have flat top and bottom edges, meaning you could potentially stand the smartphone straight up.

Now, we aren’t sure why Huawei would adopt that design since a pretty low percentage of users are probably going to want to set the handset that way, but so it is.
Somewhat unique design aside, the Huawei P30 Pro in particular, is going to bring some really interesting hardware such as up to four rear cameras, support for 10x zoom, focal lengths that go from 16mm to 125mm and lenses with aperture from F/1.6 to F/3.4. Meanwhile the non-Pro P30 will be packing cameras with focal length going from 17mm to 80mm and lenses with apertures going from F/1.8 to F/2.4.
Well, either way, the new series is expected to launch on March 26 in Paris, so we’ll know more about the handsets very soon.
