Oppo release Find 5 source code for developers

Oppo have really stepped up and are distinguishing themselves as a modern phone maker. Not only have they launch one of the best phones of 2013, but not they have released the Find 5 kernel source code for developers.

Gizchina News of the week

According to GPL license agreements, any phone maker using Android on their devices must release the kernel source code which allows developers to create their own roms and mods. Most Chinese manufactures fail to do this (we’re looking at you JiaYu) but Chinese phone maker Oppo have.

Any developers wanting to get hold of a copy of the Oppo Find 5 kernel should head over to the official Oppo forums where it can be downloaded.

This once again proves Oppo decided to play with the big boys and out of the we don’t care about GPL league.
I wish we had more manufacturers do this, after all if you can release the sources for a 500$ phone than surely there aren’t any bigger secrets in a 100-200 $ phone.
Btw thanks Andi for not forgetting an letting Jiayu off the hook that easily.
