OPPO Reno to boast 93.1 percent screen-to-body ratio, says company VP

A lot has been said and heard about the new OPPO Reno series in the past week since the company’s VP officially revealed the logo of the range some days back. Despite that, the front design of the handset still remains elusive and subject to speculation. However, some tidbits regarding the same revealed by VP Shen Yiren today on Weibo help to dispell some rumours. As per the latest post, the screen-to-body ratio of the handset is 93.1 percent making it one of the thin-bezel designs in recent flagships.

The OPPO VP also revealed in a separate post that there are no holes on the front or on the back of the phone which rules out the possibility of the punch-hole design similar to Samsung’s flagships. If memory serves well, Xiaomi’s Mi MIX 3 slider phone achieved a 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. However, the Vivo Apex 2019 concept is currently the king of the hill with an insane 98 percent screen-to-body ratio. However, Yiren’s latest comments lead us to think that there could also be a similar slider design that occupied the Find X series or even a possible notch design as was seen in a previous leaked render.

Besides that, a massive leak yesterday hinted at the OPPO Reno series having as many as six variants including a Delux Lite model all the way up to a Lamborghini Edition, all with a different processor, RAM, and storage combinations. The launch of the series is on April 10.
