Apple’s big event happened today and was mainly focused on a series of subscriptions services. Since the iPhone’s lower than expected sales, the Cupertino giant started to put some effort into its services portfolio. Along with a Streaming service and a Gaming service, the company unveiled Apple News+. This a new subscription service that lets users access over 300 popular magazines, as well as “leading newspapers and digital publishers” for $9.99 per month.

The content is presented in a “beautiful, convenient, and curated experience” within the Apple News app. The service will still let users access all the free content in the Apple news app. However, the News+ service will be more like a premium tier, adding a more expansive collection of content with high-quality and updated histories on top of the free stuff.
