Shen Yiren, Vice President of OPPO, first introduced the OPPO Reno via a Weibo post earlier this month, and the device has since been in the headlines and has even scheduled a launch event for April 10 where the company will unwrap the Reno. Ahead of the official unveiling, Shen Yiren has been dropping some bit of related information, and it appears that isn’t changing any soon.
The VP via his usual Weibo post has once again confirmed the Reno will come in two models based on SoC – One with the SD 710 SoC and another with the flagship SD 855 SoC, and while that isn’t the bit of news, the VP also confirmed the two Reno variants would arrive with different cooling technologies. The VP tells us the Reno Snapdragon 710 edition will rely on a heat-conducting gel and graphite sheet for heat dissipation, while the 855 variant will rely on a copper tube liquid cooling heat sink to ensure it doesn’t get too hot during intense gaming or even while watching videos.
