BBK Electronics owned OPPO traditionally releases two R series upper mid-range phones in any given year, however, the company’s  Vice President Shen Piren in a swift reaction to speculations around the arrival of the OPPO R19 earlier this year hinted that the company isn’t launching the OPPO R19 soon in 2019. Apparently, the company started teasing the Reno series which it finally announced earlier this week with a shark fin pop camera system.

Gizchina News of the week

While a lot of fans still have their eyes set on the R19, Shen Piren has revealed that not only will the OPPO R19 not launch, but also revealed that the company has decided to axe the entire OPPO R Series to now shift its focus to the OPPO Reno and OPPO Find series of premium phones. With this revelation, we should expect more of the devices under the Reno series, while the company will also continue to release more devices under the ambitious Find series, perhaps the Find Z could be the next in line

The VP said the company has shipped over 100 million devices under the R series alone, revealing that the company will stick to its core value of “pursuing the beauty and great quality of its Smartphone”.”
