According to The Telegraph, British Prime Minister Theresa May has signed an agreement with Huawei under which the Chinese giant will help the government to build parts of the country’s 5G infrastructure, including antennas and other components.
The decision was taken by the National Security Council, of which May is president, immediately raising considerable criticism from other British politicians, who fear that Huawei’s alleged ties with the Chinese government may expose citizens, businesses and government agencies for cyber attacks and other forms of espionage.
