Honor 20: specs and official pictures leaked

After the OnePlus 7 Pro, Realme X and Redmi K20, the other big expected smartphone for the month of May is the Honor 20. And just like the OnePlus flagship, Honor smartphone will also come in two variants. The high-end variant will be Honor 20 Pro, the true top of the range with the fewest compromises. So far, we have talked mainly about the latter, since it is the most awaited of the two, but now WinFuture has removed the mystery even for the basic version.

Even Honor 20 will have a perforated display and quad camera

Thanks to the unofficial renderings we can take a closer look at the design of the Honor 20. Compared to the pop-up cameras used by Huawei, the road to the full screen undertaken by Honor sees the adoption mainly of the so-called AllView display. As for the progenitor Honor View 20, Honor 20 will also have a perforated display, so that it can accommodate the 32 mega-pixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture at the top left. We are facing a 6.26″ Full HD + (2340 x 1080 pixel) panel in 19.5:9 with a density of 412 PPI. But that, despite what the one might think, has LCD technology and not AMOLED.

Consequently, no finger scanner in the display. For the first time in the Honor house, the biometric sensor is arranged laterally and acts as a Power button. The phone has a quad camera with 48 + 16 + 2 + 2 mega-pixel sensors with aperture f/1.8-2.2-2.4-2.4. In addition to the Sony IMX586 primary, there will be a wide-angle lens with 117 °, a depth sensor and a macro. The telephoto lens should only be found on Honor 20 Pro.

The hardware sector has no surprises, with a Kirin 980 SoC flanked by a minimum of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The latter is expandable via NanoSD. The battery will be a 3750 mAh battery with SuperCharge charging at 22.5W via USB Type-C. Finally, the software will obviously be based on Android 9.0 Pie but will not have EMUI 9, but Magic UI 2.1.
