As scheduled, the HTC U19e was announced today in Taiwan. Many have been thinking this manufacturer will leave the smartphone business, focusing on the VR market. And now, when a new device is out, there are still some users thinking the Taiwanese company is back. However, we should note this is a mid-range smartphone, and there is no sign HTC will bring something worthier.
Anyways, the HTC U19e is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, a built-in 3930mAh battery, which supports QC4. 0 fast charge, and 6+128 storage combination. On the front, the machine carries a 6-inch OLED display, which supports HDR10. In terms of camera, the HTC U19e sports a 12MP + 20MP dual-camera, while another 24MP + 2MP dual-camera is placed on the back. One of the lenses on the rear comes with an f/1.8 large aperture, supports AI shooting, 4K recording, automatic HDR and many more. The second one is a telephoto lens that supports 2x optical zoom.

The rest of the features include an iris unlocking, HTC exclusive Boomsound HiFi dual speakers, rear fingerprint module, etc. The back is designed with translucent water-repellent glass and offers extraordinary purple and green color options.
In terms of price, the HTC U19e is priced at NT$13,900, or about $442.
Looking at the key features, we can assume this phone aims at the mid-range market. However, the Snapdragon 710 chip has been used on many flagship models as it’s considered to be a quasi-flagship processor. In this sense, the HTC U19e can compete with a number of famous smartphones coming our way from Xiaomi, Redmi, VIVO, and others. But we have a foreboding this is the last smartphone designed by HTC.
can’t see anyone buying this over the Pixel 3a. Suspect that you are correct, last gasp by HTC
