After the appearance of Honor 9X at a certification portal in China, the Honor 9X Pro has now been certified in Russia. Now, similar to the Chinese CCC (3C) listing, we don’t get any detailed information from the Russian certification either. However, we do get to know the model number.
The Honor 9X model number was HLK-AL10 while it is HLK-L41 for the Honor 9X Pro variant. Last year, Honor announced two variants in the Honor 8X series with one small model and the other being a Max model but Honor has changed the branding a bit this time around. The Honor 9X was certified with a 10W charger which is similar to what the Honor 8X offers.
Gizchina News of the week
Considering that we don’t know a lot about the Honor 9X, we have to make a guess about the upgrades it might get over its predecessor. Both the handsets were pretty big devices with the standard Honor 8X using a 6.5-inch display while the 8X Max had an almost tablet-like 7.12-inch screen. Both were equipped with a Kirin 710 SoC. We’re expecting a Kirin 810 SoC because the screen is as big as it can get at this point. However, the display could have a better bezel-less design with maybe a hole-punch on the screen. These are just guesses though and we think the launch is at least a month far as the Honor 8X released in September.
