Aside from rumors of a Xiaomi phone with a 64MP camera, Xiaomi through its Redmi sub-brand is said to be working on a more affordable offering dubbed the Redmi 7 Pro. The device just secured 3C approval in China suggesting it will go official soon. Bearing the M1906F9SG model, the said Redmi 7 Pro will launch as the sequel to last year’s Redmi 6 Pro, and should launch in other markets outside of India and China as the Xiaomi Mi A3.

Details of the device are scarce, however, 3C documents suggest it will ship with a 5V/2A 10W charger. And as for other specs,  there are rumors it will be powered by a Snapdragon 710 or 712 SoC, a triple camera setup with a 48MP main shooter, and of  3,300mAh battery.

Overall, the Redmi 7 Pro is expected to build on the Redmi 6 Pro, both in design and the internal make. It is expected to arrive as a budget offering too. To recall, the Redmi 6 Pro flaunts a  5.84-inch notched display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels, 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 624 processor paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage that can be expanded via microSD card. The entry-level variant with 3/32GB storage had a starting price of $158, so the Redmi 7 Pro is expected to tag along that line.
