Nokia 9 PureView unreleased Silver Grey variant looks great

HMD Global took the wraps off its Penta-Camera smartphone in the form of Nokia 9 PureView back in February. The device came in Midnight Blue color, but apparently, HMD had plans to release a Silver Grey model as well.

The “Silver Grey” Nokia 9 PureView appeared in a video made by Estonian YouTube channel Motors24ee where two reviewers handle and discuss it. We can’t see it coming now that Nokia 9 PureView is completing four months of existence. That’s sad, after all, it’s a good looking color for the Penta-Camera handset.

While the premium smartphone brought a curious camera design to life, it didn’t really catch up customers attention. Furthermore, some units were plagued by several bugs that affected display and fingerprint reliability. According to HMD Global, a new update will arrive in the coming days to combat these issues.

The scanner was less responsive and inconsistent in the beginning. Nokia promptly delivered an update to make it faster, however, it also reduced the security. According to some reports, the sensor allows some unregistered finger to unlock the handset.

HMD Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas, came to Twitter saying that the issues with the in-display scanner affect a narrow sample size of units and that a patch is coming shortly.
