According to Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi’s VP and president of Xiaomi India, the gold plated version of the Redmi K20Ā andĀ K20 Pro will arrive tomorrow. From the images on his official twitter handle, the rear of this smartphone has a carbon-like texture. There is also a K logo on the rear bottom which seems to be designed with diamond stones. This is obviously some sort of special edition. Mr. Jain also quoted a whooping 4.8 Lakh (INR 480,000 or ā¼$7000) and this will probably be the price of this device.

The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro share some common specs.Ā Both smartphones come with a 6.39-inch AMOLED with an on-screen fingerprint sensor and a 4000 mAh battery. They also come with the same 48MP sensor with telephoto and ultra-wide angle cameras. As for the processors, theĀ Redmi K20 Pro comes with Snapdragon 855 while the K20 uses a Snapdragon 730.
With the price tag on this smartphone, it will probably come with some really good quality gold and diamond. It appears that Mr. Jain knows that the price is outrageous and he asks us to “believe the hype”. I guess we will have to wait for tomorrow to see what specials will come with this device.
