After months of speculation, the Oppo A9 has finally made its way to India. The handset debuted in China three months ago, and now it’s finally ready to compete for Indian customer’s preference. The device is only available in a single variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB Storage. It is priced at INR15,490 ($225/€200) and will go on sale from July 20 through online and offline stores across the country.

The Oppo A9 is powered by the Helio P70 chipset underneath a 6.53-inch display with FHD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch at the top. Inside the notch, there is a 16MP selfie snapper. Around the back, the device comes with a dual-camera setup comprising of 16MP main and 2MP depth sensor units. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a gradient finish to please our eyes.
The package includes Android 9 Pie with Oppo’s traditional ColorOS 6 running at the board. To fuel its midrange device, Oppo has a chosen a 4,020mAh battery. Unfortunately, a micro USB port limits the charge rate of this massive amount of juice.
As previously mentioned, the handset will go on sale on July 20 for around $225. It’ll be available in Mica Green, Ice Jade White, and Fluorite Purple colors.
