Galaxy Fold before and after changes: photos comparison

Samsung Galaxy Fold

Samsung made several visible changes to the Galaxy Fold. To avoid duplicating the problems that had been noted by the first testers several months ago. The company has published several photos of the device – after the changes. Giving us the opportunity to compare in images the first version of the Galaxy Fold, with this new version revised and corrected.

Samsung has finally chosen a re-launch date for the Galaxy Fold in September. The announcement was made via the manufacturer’s official blog and comes with a list of changes. Samsung does not want the first customers of the Fold to meet the same problems as the first testers a few months ago ( some ended up with a broken screen in less than 24 hours, for various reasons). Until its release in September, Samsung continues to conduct extensive testing.

Galaxy Fold: here are the changes in pictures

Before changes (left) and after changes (right)

Samsung first explains that the protective film applied on the Infinity Flex screen of the foldable smartphone is now larger, so that its edges disappear under the borders of the screen and that the owners of the device are no longer tempted to remove it.

More visible, the top and bottom of the hinge has been reinforced by sorts of plastic caps in the shape of T. What now seems to prevent passing any object under the slab AMOLED flexible. But we also see that the back of this hinge was also modified to “reduce the space between the hinge and the body of the Galaxy Fold,” as specified by Samsung.

The last changes, however, are not visible on these images. Samsung has indeed added “layers of metal under the Infinity Flex screen to strengthen its protection”. What do you think of these improvements? Share your opinion in the comments.
