Honor 10 Lite

Back in June, Huawei started to deploy the EMUI 9.1 update for all units of the Honor 10 Lite in China. After the initial rollout, the company is now seeding the same update in India.

The update introduces GPU Turbo 3.0, which further improves the gaming experience and performance. Interesting enough, it also is optimized and reduce power consumption by 10%. With EMUI 9.1 the file system of Honor 10 Lite is also changed to EROFS. The new file system promises a 20% increase in random read speed and saving of 2GB system storage.

Gizchina News of the week

The Honor 10 Lite came in November last year and still offers a good bang for the buck. It ships with a 6.21-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, with 1080 x 2340 pixels of resolution. Furthermore, there is a Kirin 710 chipset running the show. The handset is currently available in 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM and 32/64GB/128GB Storage variants. There is a dual (13MP+2MP) rear camera setup and a single 24MP selfie snapper. Everything is fueled by a 3,400mAh battery.

Since the update is rolling out via OTA it may take a few days to reach all eligible units of the handset in India. You can always try to force check the update via the System Update sub-menu in settings.
