HTC Wildfire X goes on sale today in India

The HTC WildFire X was announced last week in India and is going on sale today through Flipkart. The handset marks the return of the Taiwanese market to the competitive market of India. Furthermore, it is one important step, after a long period without releases.

The HTC WildFire X boasts Helio P22 SoC and is available in two memory flavors –  There’s one with 3GB/32GB priced at INR10,999 ($155/€140) and another version with 4GB/128GB which retails for INR13,999 ($195/€175). For a limited period of time, both variants will be available with discounted prices – INR1,000 ($15/€13) less.

The company’s last bet in the midrange market features a 6.2-inch IPS display with 1440×720 (HD+) resolution and a waterdrop notch at the top. The camera which lives inside the small notch can capture 8MP selfies. Moving to the back, there is a triple camera setup at the back comprising of 12MP main, 8MP telephoto, and 5MP depth sensor units. The camera setup is capable of 2x optical zoom via the telephoto lens, it’s an interesting add-on for the price point of the WildFire X. Still, on the back, there is a standard fingerprint scanner.

Worth noting that the handset boasts a 3,300mAh battery and comes with Android 9 Pie straight out of the box. Last, but not least, it is available only in Sapphire Blue color option. With the start of sales, we will finally able to discover if the handset will, in fact, succeed in the competitive market dominated by Samsung and the Chinese gang.
