Honor V20

The apparent lack of access to Google’s essential services, notwithstanding, Huawei keeps on churning out smartphones every now and then. We already know that sub-brand Honor is working on the Honor V30 and V30 Pro which, perhaps, could be the next big victim of the US ban. We have seen renders, and even alleged specs, with official confirmation it will be offered in 5G variant.

Doling out more subtle details about the upcoming device,  Zhao Ming, president of Honor recently while speaking on 5G at the 6th World Internet Conference in China revealed that the Honor V30 5G will make its official debut in November.

Though no definite date has been given, the head of the Huawei Honor brand also hinted that the V30 smartphone will support both NSA and SA network architecture. By praising this upcoming smartphone, Zhao said the smartphone will surely become the center of young people’s lives.

Honor V30 Details

There isn’t much we can bring your way in terms of official revelations. However, there are reports the device will come in two variants – a standard HonorV30, and the HonorV30 Pro. Of course, both variants will come with 4G and 5G options. Previously leaked images/renders of the Honor V30/V30 Pro suggest the series much like the V20 will come with a punch-hole design. But this time, the leaked renders say it will feature a dual punch-hole design for two selfie shooters.

Other rumored specs and features include a 6.5-inch OLED display(LCD panel for the V30), perhaps, with a 90Hz refresh rate, powered by Kirin 990 5G SoC, pack 60MP quad rear cameras and a 4200mAh battery with support for 40W super-fast charging and 15W wireless fast charging.

Launch outside of China

The device perhaps will launch first in China, before heading to other markets where it will ship without essential Google services – including Google Play.
