Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 730 and 730G back in April this year. Since then, we’ve seen a few companies introducing them in the “premium-mid-range” segment. The chipset is built on an 8nm LPP process and offers a performance that is superior to what we see in the Snapdragon 6xx family. Now, it seems that Qualcomm is gearing to unveil their upcoming Snapdragon 735. The new chipset will come with a new architecture and will be built on a 7nm process.

According to the report from Twitter’s user @Sudhanshu1414, the chipset codenamed SM7250 will feature a BIG Cortex-A76 Kryo core at 2.36 GHz and another one at 2.32 GHz. The remaining cores are inside a cluster with 6x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.73GHz. The GPU will be an Adreno 620 which should be a decent upgrade over the Adreno 618 which comes inside the Snapdragon 730.
Early reports about the Snapdragon 735 came earlier this year, however, it seems that the CPU has changed since then. The new CPU is expected to become official in December when Qualcomm usually has an event in Hawaii. The Snapdragon 7xx series was introduced for the upper mid-range segment. However, companies such as Realme and Xiaomi are starting to introduce them to the budget segment. We wouldn’t be surprised if the 7xx series start to replace the Snapdragon 6xx family in the future.
