There is a picture that is making millions of shares in China. This is Ren Zhengfei, The CEO of Huawei, photographed at the airport holding a tablet device of a competitor company. Guess what we’re talking about? it’s the Apple iPad.
The image of Huawei’s CEO during normal airport security checks is spreading in these hours on social media. While the attendant reviews his hand luggage, however, one detail has made the antennas of the Web stand out: the presence of an iPad.
On the other hand, this is not surprising. Ren has previously admitted his love for Apple. And Huaweiâs CFO, Renâs daughter Meng Wanzhou, was carrying an iPhone 7, iPad Pro and MacBook Air when she was arrested in Canada.
âMy children prefer Apple products over Huaweiâs. Does it mean that they donât love Huawei? Of course not,â the CEO told Chinese media in May. âHuawei products are ultimately commodities. People use them if they like them.â He further explained, âiPhone has a good ecosystem and when my family are abroad, I still buy them iPhones, so one canât narrowly think love for Huawei should mean loving Huawei phones.â
Gizchina News of the week
It is worth to mention that at the beginning of the year, Huawei has changed its corporate policies, requiring employees to use only Android phones to post on Twitter. Some staff members even received salary cuts for not doing so.
Fake
This.is why HUAWEI is so strong now, they respect their competitors.
stealing from opponents is a fantastic way to pay homage. unfortunately, huawai strongly denies the (mal)practice even after being caught red-handed.
For those of us who are unemployed / retired and have no access to any kind of secrets, Huawai is perfect. It’s cheap , and any data they steal , well you can’t exactly bring chinese collected data to a canadian court room , can you ?
Anyone who has any access to ANYTHING , even a low rent job in a corperation that China is thinking of competing with , you’re hurting your company. Go back to a cheap flip phone or something.
Being negative is what the west good at. Checking out the competition is what a good CEO food at. Open and smart.
