The Xiaomi Mi Watch isn’t a secret anymore, the company’s brand new wearable is set to be released in the next week. We already have a clear picture of the smartwatch, thanks to a render that came from no one else than the company’s CEO, Lei Jun. Now, we have a new render to look at, this time it comes directly from Mijia.
The render reveals the Xiaomi Mi Watch in the two colors it will be available in – Elegant Black and Plated Silver. Furthermore, it gives us a clear picture of the crown, the power button, the microphones, and the slit for the speaker. Besides that, the render make us believe that the smartwatch is made with an aluminum finish. Thus reducing the manufacture costs and the final price of the wearable. However, this wouldn’t hold Xiaomi from selling a variant with ceramic finish.
Gizchina News of the week
Lei Jun’s render only revealed the device’s look screen, while the new one reveals at least two watch faces. The Silver unit shows the watch capabilities of tracking cycling activities. Moreover, it will also be able to measure your heart rate. The Black version reveals the calories burnt.
Apparently Xiaomi isn’t very concerned in sharing details about its upcoming Watch. We already know that it will feature a brand new Snapdragon 3100 wearable SoC, NFC, eSIM, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth. In addition, there are reports of a brand new custom version of WearOS. According to the reports, Xiaomi will be debuting its vision of a wearable OS.
This might be worth getting as a collectors item if Xiaomi get sued from Apple. But i am really interested to see Xiaom version of WearOs
The watch looks clean.
I only hope that the battery life will be good. The SD 3100 is not that great at battery life according to the devices that have it.
But definitely if it turns out to be good I will get it over the Amazfit GTS which I was considering.
